reunions

25 Mar

I’m waiting for these ladies to arrive….

They’ll only be here for about 24 hours but it promises to be a wonderful 24 hours. I have great intentions of taking lots of pictures….hopefully I will live up to my intentions. A group shot will be a vast improvement from last time.

Can’t wait!

“Over the years I’ve often described our mission in Japan as praying and preparing for the day of opportunity in Japan.”

Michael Oh – President of Christ Bible Institute – Nagoya, Japan

I think this video & quote speaks volumes. There is still so much going on in Japan and our MTW missionaries are doing so much there. You can check out MTW’s website or just check out my wall on facebook to see updates.

Please pray for our missionaries in Japan and those displaced. Mostly, pray the Lord would be working in the lives of the Japanese people and that they would seek Him as they see devastation all around them. My heart is also with the MKs in there. They are serving right alongside their parents and doing an awesome job.

Praying for Japan

12 Mar

By now I’m sure you’ve seen the news of the horrible earthquake & tsunami to strike Japan. I have many dear friends who are living there. It’s just unreal to see the devastation of what is going on there.

Please be praying for those there who are able to serve and help the Japanese people that they would be the Lord’s hands and feet during this horrible time. Also be praying for the safety of those that are still unaccounted for.

Also please be praying for the Missionary Kids in Japan and the one that are here in the states in college while their families are in Japan – I can’t imagine how scary it must be to go through this or be away from your family and friends when something like this happens.

Finally – PRAY FOR JAPAN! That the Lord will use this tragedy to bring the Japanese people to Himself.

One of our MTW missionaries in Japan took this UNBELIEVABLE video of the earthquake. The ground looks like it is breathing!!! You can find it here on CNN.

Happenings

12 Mar

It’s been a busy few weeks and I haven’t really had time nor known what to post.

But this week has been super busy but super fun at the same time.

precious!!

I’m in the stage of life where a lot of my friends are having babies. It’s so fun! This week Grant Lombard Fortson came into the world a little earlier than expected! I’ve known Grant’s parents since I first moved to Atlanta and I also helped throw his mom a baby shower! We were so excited to get to finally meet him and oh boy is he precious!! So excited for my sweet friends!

::::::::::::::

3 & 1/2 hours in line and we made it!

So there’s this “little” blog I read…OK, it’s not so little…it has a cult following. The Pioneer Woman has taken the blog world by storm with her awesome stories, scrumptious recipes and gorgeous photography about her life on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma. Well Ree “the Pioneer Woman” Drummond has written a couple of books one of

which is a cookbook which my sister got me for Christmas. So when I heard she was going to be in town on a book tour for her new book I knew I had to go and get it signed.

Thanks for spelling my name correctly!

I must be naive about thing

s like this because I never thought I would wait 3 & 1/2 hours but I have to say it was worth it.Even after 3 & 1/2 hours of signing books and talking to people Ree was so nice and fun to talk too. We snapped a few pictures and she even checked to make sure she spelled my name right as she was signing my book. From a girl who’s name get’s misspelled A LOT – THANK YOU!!!  (and you have really pretty handwriting)

It was also so fun to have some friends with us!

Hopefully, I’ll get to blogging on a more regular basis.
